Stamped clearly on the side with its model name, the “SONAR 431” metal body remains a staple for collectors of American-made blade lures. This specimen, assigned product code 2822, showcases a yellow and red color scheme with a classic honeycomb scale pattern. Measuring 2" (5 cm) in length, it is equipped with three separate line-tie holes along the top edge, designed to change the level of water resistance during use. Positioning the line toward the head provides the least resistance for a faster retrieve. The paint on the head and tail sections shows deep red tones that contrast with the yellow mid-section and the high-visibility yellow-and-black painted eye.
