Red glass eyes are set directly into the nickel-plated body of this Herter's Glass eye spoon, a distinct design feature from the post-WWII era. These lures were manufactured in occupied Japan for the iconic American outdoors brand, linking global production with their Waseca, Minnesota roots. Tipping the scales at 2/5 oz (11 g) and measuring 2 1/4" (5.5 cm), the spoon provides a substantial profile for freshwater casting or trolling. The reverse side features the manufacturer's name and location stamped into the metal. This particular specimen is unused, still housed in its original clear plastic bag with the vintage paper tag marked AA2J2 and an original price of 33 cents. The nickel finish remains bright, and the two red glass eye inserts are securely seated. Carrying product code 8987, the lure includes a split ring at the head for direct connection to a leader or swivel.
