Brass coloring across the oversized blade defines this classic spinner. Measuring 3 1/4" (8.25 cm) and weighing in at 1/2 oz (14 g), this Mepps Aglia 5 is a substantial piece of French-engineered hardware assembled in the USA. The polished blade is clearly stamped with the 'MEPPS 5 AGLIA' mark, a signature of the design Andre Meulnart invented in 1938. Its body is constructed from four stacked yellow beads, each featuring localized orange or red paint accents on the lower half. A bright red plastic sleeve covers the shank of the treble hook, serving as a distinct visual trigger. This specimen, identified by product code 3587, maintains a condition rating of 4/5, showing some light surface wear on the beads and metal components. The brass clevis allows for smooth rotation around the central wire, which terminates in a secure eyelet for heavy-duty casting applications.
