Tipping the scales at 1/2 oz (14 g), this vintage spinner showcases the early engineering of a design that became a global standard for freshwater angling. The silver-finished blade is deeply stamped with 'BRITISH FRENCH PATENT U.S. PEND', reflecting the international origins of Andre Meulnart's 1938 French invention before it was popularized in the States. Measuring 3 1/4" (8 cm) in length, the lure is constructed with brass-toned beads and a stacked metal weight body that provides the necessary ballast for casting. This specific specimen is in 5/5 condition, showing well-preserved metal surfaces and sharp, legible markings on the teardrop-shaped blade. The assembly is rounded off with a robust treble hook, securely rigged to the central wire that runs from the top eyelet through the weighted body components.
