Stamped directly into the polished metal on the reverse side is the 'MADE IN FRANCE' origin, marking this as a genuine European-produced Mepps Syclops. Weighing 1oz (26g) and measuring 3 1/2" (9cm), this model 9009 is a substantial spoon built for heavy casting or trolling for larger predators. This specific 'Custom' version stands out with its gold base finish overprinted with a fine scale pattern and three reflective green holographic chevrons. A red and blue strike-point eye is positioned near the lower bend, intended to draw focus from following fish. On the back, the crisp stamping includes the 'MEPPS' name and the size 'S' alongside the metric weight. The hardware consists of strong split rings and a sharp treble hook finished with a red shrink tube sleeve. Rated at 5/5, the lure shows a very clean surface with fully intact decals and bright metallic luster. The distinct S-shaped profile of the Syclops was engineered in France to catch light across ten different planes, a hallmark of the Mepps design philosophy.
