Panther Martin is an Italian company founded in 1958.
The history of the lure originates in Italy, but the brand was popularized and became a world hit in the USA thanks to the Harrison-Hoge Industries company in the second half of the 20th century.
The Main Innovation (The Blade):
The secret to Panther Martin's success lies in its unique blade (petal), which has a deeply curved and inverted shape.
Instant Spin: Unlike traditional spinning lures, which are attached with a clevis and require speed to start spinning, the Panther Martin blade is mounted directly onto the central shaft. This allows it to spin instantly at any retrieve speed—even during very slow jigging or on the drop.
Unique Vibrations: The deeply curved shape creates powerful, low-frequency sonic vibrations in the water that effectively attract predators.
Panther Martin is considered one of the best trout lures in the world, but its versatility allows it to successfully catch bass, perch (walleye/zander), and many other species of predators across North America and Europe.
