Glistening with a silver-plated finish on its convex side and warm brass on the interior, this 4 1/2" (11.5 cm) spoon showcases the thin-profile design that has made the Sutton brand a staple since Scott R. Sutton founded the company in 1867. Weighing 1/3 oz (9 g), the model 4522 is specifically engineered for trolling, where its extremely thin brass construction produces a soft, quivering action that mimics a wounded baitfish. The upper end of the blade bears a distinct stamping identifying its New York origins. In its 3/5 condition, the metal surfaces display visible surface marks and light oxidation consistent with time spent in a tackle box, while the original treble hook remains attached. Developed for the clear waters where lake trout and salmon thrive, the contrasting metal finishes provide a natural flash during the retrieve. The lure is finished with a simple nose ring for direct line attachment or use with a snap swivel.
