Measuring a stout 3 1/2" (9cm), this Eppinger Dardevle is a heavy-duty casting tool weighing 1oz (28g). The convex side features the unmistakable red and white striped enamel finish, accented by the classic silver devil head logo near the hook eye. Flipping the spoon over reveals a clean, polished silver concave surface stamped with "DARDEVLE DEARBORN MI." and the weight designation. This particular specimen, identified by product code 0022, is equipped with a sturdy silver-tone treble hook held by a robust split ring. Given that Eppinger moved production from Detroit to Dearborn in 1959, the stamp on the reverse provides a nice chronological marker for collectors interested in the brand’s Michigan roots. Showing very minor signs of previous life, the lure maintains a 4/5 condition rating, with the paint remaining vibrant and the hardware secure. It is a reliable spoon built for casting and trolling, known for a wobbling motion that has defined the brand for generations.
