Museum Archive: Vintage Eppinger Dardevle, 1oz Gray Scale fishing spoon #10038

Measuring 3 1/2" (9cm) in length, this casting spoon's face is decorated with a gray scale honeycomb pattern and two prominent yellow-and-black eyes positioned near the hook. The heavy 1oz (28g) body is stamped with 'DARDEVLE DETROIT USA' on its concave reverse, marking it as a classic Eppinger product from their original manufacturing era. This specimen, identified by product code 10038, remains in 4/5 condition, showing a well-maintained reflective surface across its oblong profile. A large treble hook is attached to the weighted end via a steel split ring, designed to handle the pressure of heavier predators. The narrow end features a cleanly drilled line tie hole for a direct connection or the addition of a snap.
