Stamped with the classic "DARDEVLE DETROIT U.S.A." mark on its nickel reverse side, this specimen represents a core piece of Michigan angling history. This 1 oz (28 g) Eppinger spoon, cataloged under product code 11582, features the iconic red and white striped pattern that has remained a tackle box staple for decades. Measuring 3 1/2 inches (9 cm), the metal body is characterized by its distinctive oblong shape and deep concave belly. The front face is detailed with the recognizable black devil head graphic, a hallmark of the Eppinger brand since its early days in Lou Eppinger’s Detroit shop. The finish is in 5/5 condition, showing a clean contrast of the painted stripes against the polished nickel-colored base. A sturdy treble hook is attached via a heavy-duty split ring at the tail, while the nose is pre-drilled for a snap or line tie. Its substantial weight makes it a reliable choice for long-distance casting or deep-water trolling in search of northern pike and muskellunge.
