Polished nickel covers the reverse side of this classic casting spoon, clearly stamped with the "DARDEVLE DETROIT, U.S.A." mark of authenticity. Weighing in at a substantial 1oz (28g) and measuring 3 1/2" (9cm), this specimen (Product Code 2694) features a striking blue finish accented by a silver honeycomb scale pattern across its top surface. The deep concave belly is a signature of Eppinger's design, intended to create a distinct wobbling action during retrieval. Its hardware remains in excellent form, mounted with a sharp treble hook and sturdy split rings. This lure appears well-maintained and is rated in 5/5 condition. The history of the Dardevle dates back to Lou Eppinger's basement in Detroit, where these proprietary shapes were first stamped to mimic baitfish, eventually becoming so trusted they were included in US military survival kits.
