A striking Canadian flag motif, featuring a crisp red maple leaf centered on a broad white band, defines the finish of this particular casting and trolling spoon. Weighing in at 1 oz (28 g) and measuring 3 1/2" (9 cm) in length, this specimen carries the iconic Eppinger name, a brand born in a Detroit basement back in 1906. A faint Eppinger devil logo is visible within the upper red section, adding a nice touch of brand identity. Flipping the lure over reveals the polished nickel back, clearly stamped with the Eppinger and Dardevle branding, a hallmark of American manufacturing. Identified by product code 9102, this spoon is in 5/5 condition, showing the vibrant red paint and solid hardware expected from a well-preserved piece. The thick gauge of the metal and the large treble hook secured by a heavy-duty split ring make it a robust tool for various freshwater applications. This piece represents a bit of Michigan history, coming from the company that moved its operations to Dearborn in 1959.
