Museum Archive: Vintage Glen Evans Loco 2, fishing spoon #21800

Chartreuse yellow paint covers the entire body of this Glen Evans Loco 2, accented by several bright orange spots on the front face. Measuring 2" (5 cm), the spoon is a USA-made rarity identified by product code 21800. This particular specimen is in 5/5 condition, maintaining a vibrant finish on both sides of its unique bottle-shaped profile. While the front features a dotted pattern, the back remains a solid, bright yellow where the 'LOCO' mark is stamped into the metal. Designed for depths up to 3.3 ft (1 m), it serves as a specialized tool for casting or trolling in environments without current, especially when pike require a high-activity presentation. The original hardware, including the rear treble hook and the split ring at the nose, is well-preserved. Glen Evans pioneered this design before it eventually transitioned to Luhr Jensen production.
