Stamped clearly on the reverse side is the "DARDEVLE DEARBORN MI." mark, signifying its production in the post-1959 era after Eppinger relocated from Detroit. The Finnish Herring color pattern is a visual highlight, blending a deep blue belly with white flecks and a silver, cross-hatched scale pattern along the upper edge. Near the line tie, a prominent yellow eye with a black pupil sits adjacent to the classic black devil head logo. This 3 1/2" (9cm) spoon carries a substantial weight of 1 3/4 oz (50g), providing the density needed for deep casting or trolling for larger game. Identified by product code 19965, this Rok’t Dardevle maintains its original silver-toned treble hook secured by a heavy-duty split ring. The concave shape is precisely formed from proprietary dies, a hallmark of the Eppinger brand since its early days. This specimen is in 4/5 condition, presenting very well with sharp graphics and a clean, reflective finish on the underside. A dark, reddish-black tip at the narrow end completes the traditional look of this heavy-weight spoon.
