The Famous Main Liner Lure:
The Main Liner is a metal casting/trolling spoon lure. It was specifically designed and marketed as a highly effective bait for catching Walleye, as well as pike and other large predators.
Design: The Main Liner features a classic elongated, slightly curved profile, typical of wobbling spoons, but its distinguishing quality was its stable action whether retrieved quickly or slowly.
Weight: The lure was produced in various weights, such as 3/4 oz, making it suitable for both casting and deep trolling.
Main Liner lures are valued today as vintage tackle (NOS – New Old Stock). Anglers and collectors remember them as high-quality spoons that, despite their simplicity, were extremely effective fish catchers.
