Red and white stripes define the face of this 1oz (28g) spoon, which measures exactly 3 1/2" (9cm) in length. Produced by Eppinger and identified by Product Code 10692, the Weedless Dardevle features the classic Devil Dog logo stamped into the white paint. The lure’s reverse side is finished in polished nickel, providing high contrast and visibility in various light conditions. A dual-wire weed guard is secured to the body with rivets, specifically designed to help the single hook navigate through submerged vegetation and brush. The tail is dressed with a red skirt consisting of hackle feathers and rubber strands to increase the visual profile. Regarding condition, this item is rated 5/5, showing visible surface marks and small paint chips along the edges consistent with its age. Originally handcrafted in Lou Eppinger's Detroit basement starting in 1906, these lures became so well-regarded for their utility that they were included in aviation survival kits during wartime. The heavy metal body is balanced for long-distance casting into thick cover.
